A Matter of Timing... I suppose

I think if you have to plan out every moment of your day 3-5 days in advance, you might be too busy for your own good. I'm totally there right now.

And with it being Tuesday, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have the time to fit in finishing my homework and probably making it to Class on Thursday.

But all that is really just the tease for the rest of this. Look being busy is good right, it usually means we're getting paid, which is always good, but here's the laundry list:

- I'm Moving to Los Feliz in 2 weeks!
- I'm buying furniture.
- I'm prepping painting the apartment this weekend.
- I'm trying to do my homework.
- I'm thinking about going to class on Thursday.
- I'm wondering if I should sell all the stuff that I was just planning on leaving on the curb when I move.
- I'm trying to work full time on a Disney Marketing Project which delivers in less then two weeks, really the same weekend as my move.
- I'm also doing a side gig on an Imax underwater movie that requires some other time.
- I'm trying to do some physical fitness so I don't fall to pieces during this period.
- At some point I'm going to have to prep for this move, you know like Pack and Stuff.
- I'm dealing with a FFFP (Fun Family Financial Problem!). Thanks Mom.
- I'm trying to Blog. (it's stupid I know)
- And I'm trying not to get a tension headache from all of this mess and from drinking too much caffeine, so I have cut back on that, which means I'm a real joy to be around in the late afternoon.

And REALLY, the one thing that I decide to NOT DO now, because A. I don't have the time and B. I don't really have as much cash as I'd like to have in this situation is BUY A NEW CAR. And Guess what. Really stupid, thanks dude upstairs, my fricken CHECK ENGINE LIGHT just came on and it's acting REALLY WEIRD when it automatically shifts gears.

SO GREAT~!!!! THANKS!!! STUPID CAR!!! WHAT DID BESSIE JUST DECIDE TO CALL IT IN!!! OH, IT'S QUITTING TIME, BETTER PUNCH MY CARD!! IT'S NOT THAT I DON'T ALREADY HAVE ALLL THIS STUFF TO DO - NOW I HAVE TO TAKE MY CAR INTO THE SHOP!!! OH REALLY GOOD TIMING. WHAT? LIKE, IS IT NICE TO F#*# WITH ME.

So as you can see, really, yeah, it's great to plan out all of your days, especially when your car is about to just go POOP and shatter into a million pieces (note the sarcasm PLEASE.) But in all honesty, like I'm always saying you never know where the roads of life are going to take you, and I guess NOW I know that you never know actually how you're even going to get there. I feel like it'd be just fitting if my car breaks down and I have to rollerblade to work. It'll be like the Summer of 2001 and I'm rollerblading to Starbucks at 4:30 AM every morning. You know, Dude upstairs, BRING IT! I could handle it then, and I can handle it now! YEAH... that's right I leave a pair of rollerblades in my trunk!

PS.... I'm getting too old for this S#!%

Moments before the Fiber

Well Friends,

I am moments away from unveiling Josh & I's 1st version of a 3 minute sizzle advertising piece for a brand new Disney Epic Film to THE Mouse House Marketing guy. I'm a little nervous. I've never had to do this before... I've worked in many different areas of this stuff, but I've never actually worked on one before and got notes. Here we go!

THINGS ARE GOING PRETTY WELL...

He has some mood notes, and some style things....

Now he's goofing around...

Cool Beans. Not really listening to me....

But that's cool... as long as he likes Josh... :-D

gotta peace out....

The Art of Bojangling

Do any of you have those words that you use that don't make sense to anybody else, and when people give you strange looks, you're like "What? you don't know what blah blah blah means?" and then they are like, "Hell no." And you are like "Where did that come from?"

Well, I only bring this up because I have many of these words and one of them is Bojangling. Perhaps it is related to some other words or nicknames, but to me, Bojangling is something that you do when you definitely should be doing something else. Like, oh man, I really need to get to this job interview, but I'm  just going to stare at my computer or play a video game, so I'm bojangling. Typically, this is a slightly negative term, like when someone is like, "What is Dante doing? I need him to wash my car" and then someone responds, "Yo, Dante is totally bojangling on the corner." and then the guy is like "Mother %#$*&^"

This came to my mind, because I have to do my homework now, but I really don't want to do it, I'd rather be doing something else, but I'll actually just write up a blog. So I'm totally bojangling.

At least this makes sense, not like "Yo Dude, he's totally KIRKING out!"

Have I blogged this month

Oh man,

Busy times here in Los Angeles... This is going to be a weak ass blog post, more like some highlights from the last two weeks.

- We are working hard on this new Sizzle piece... for a new Disney movie...

- I've spent tons of time apartment shopping this weekend. And you know, things are expensive, I've been living in a pretty nicely priced area, apartment for the past few years. Geez? How prices rise.

- Class has been tricky. I've been getting lots of notes from my teachers, which is good, because they care, but bad because I really don't have the time to deal with it.

- I saw somebody from "Clueless" at gap. Stacey Dash if you cared. She's actually 42 years old. Weird. But also weird because well she was in "Clueless"

- I'm thinking about going on a Yoga Retreat to Costa Rica.

- Oh and it was like 103 degrees this weekend and it was really too hot to drive with the windows down and that was a bummer...

Oh gotta get back to work....

Peace!

After the Sunset

Hey Guys,

I'm tired... like really tired... like REALLY tired. I've been working a lot. I saw "Iron Man" last week. It was good. Like REALLY good. Like unless you have children and are over the age of 50, get your ass out there and go see "Iron Man." You will not regret it.

I thought about ending the post there, but that would be kind of a rip off.

Let's see... Gabe turned 26, he had a poker party and other events. That was fun. I actually play poker pretty well. I was soooo tired, I was going with the slack face, kind of idiot savant look, which worked out pretty well when no one knew if I was bluffing or not :-D But it was a good time.

Work has been really busy, like REALLY busy, hence the tiredness, which is poopy. Oh I need to go get my laundry, hold on...

Ok I'm back... oh dammit, I need to use the bathroom.

Ok I'm back. So, I've been working like a lot. And I've had to learn how to EDIT again, uh which has been introducing, you know I like working with Editors, they're really really creative, but when I do that I get to make up the stories, and then they make the magic happen. I DON'T LIKE MAKING THE MAGIC and coming up with the stories. It's like I lose all objectivity, I'm super tired, all I do is stare at a computer screen with a sore back. BACK PAIN! Dah!

But there are some good things like, I can make a lot of money this month, which is good, because you know, I don't know how next month will go. I also get to learn how to Edit again, although, I'm putting in extra unpaid hours to make that work. And uh... that money will go to something really really really cool, like paying off my credit card debt!

Yay! Life is splendid, superb, fantatastic. Ain't it?

The Playoffs Are Over: Rachel you can start reading the blog again

Hey Guys,

The Wizards lost. They kind of fought hard. Jacked up some threes. It is what it is...

Better luck next year. Maybe we won't face the Cavs in the first round. (long sigh)
